Every now and then one encounters things in life they are not qualified for but need to do anyway. A challenge, that pushes you to use skills and resources you didn’t know you had and makes you grow in unexpected ways.
Today was that day.
I had to explain the difference between Minions and Moomins.

Meeting a friend and her daughter, who is 4 years old, fascinated with numbers and learning to count.
Youngling: I am this old *shows on her fingers*, how old are you?
Me: 31
Youngling *terrified*: Are you… are you almost dying?
After that comment, yes. A bit.

I was recently introduced to Maranja Adventure Club. It’s a concept similar to escape rooms – you need to find your way using different clues – but outdoors! Right in the very center of Berlin, near all the most recognizable places, like the Berliner Dom, Lustgarten, Unter den Linden, Bebelplatz, etc. The goal is to walk through the city, guided by the game, and find all the puzzle elements.
